05 / Safety & Quality
Safety is a process, not a feature.
Safety is the result of correct engineering, suitable safety systems, careful installation, thorough commissioning and maintenance that is actually carried out. We treat all five as our responsibility.
Five responsibilities
Where elevator safety actually comes from.
- 01
Correct engineering
The right elevator type, capacity, speed and safety configuration for the building and its users.
- 02
Suitable safety systems
Safety provisions specified according to the configuration and applicable requirements.
- 03
Careful installation
Alignment, wiring and safety circuits installed by our own trained team.
- 04
Thorough commissioning
Every safety function tested and verified before the elevator is handed over.
- 05
Maintenance actually carried out
Regular qualified maintenance that keeps safety systems working as designed.
Safety provisions
What Rudrax systems incorporate.
Depending on configuration, Rudrax elevators incorporate provisions such as the following. Specific provisions depend on the elevator type, configuration and applicable requirements, and are confirmed in writing in your quotation.
- 01
Door safety interlocks
The car cannot move unless landing and car doors are properly closed and locked.
- 02
Emergency alarm & stop systems
Passengers can raise an alarm and stop the car when required.
- 03
Overload protection
Where applicable, the elevator will not start when the rated load is exceeded.
- 04
Emergency rescue provisions
Defined procedures and equipment to safely release trapped passengers.
- 05
Battery-operated rescue (ARD)
Where specified, brings the car to the nearest floor and opens the doors during a power failure.
- 06
Accurate levelling
Precise stopping at each floor to reduce trip hazards — critical for hospitals and the elderly.
- 07
Structured commissioning
A defined sequence of tests and checks, recorded before handover.
- 08
Technical documentation
Safety verification and handover records provided to the customer.
Our commitment
We do not compromise safety to reduce a price or to finish a week early.
Safety locks, door interlocks, safety circuits and access controls must never be bypassed or tampered with — by us, or by anyone else working on your elevator.
Planning an elevator? Start with the site, not the price list.
Send us your drawings or shaft dimensions and we will tell you what actually fits — and what it will genuinely cost to do properly.
